HANDYPRO PLASTER PRIMER

For interior and exterior on cement, concrete, plaster, gypsum, bricks, and various types of building boards. Also used to seal porous cement.

HANDYPRO Plaster Primer is a high-performance primer that penetrates new plaster, gypsum, concrete, cement, and brick for optimum adhesion, and resists alkali, peeling, and efflorescence.

Coverage

5 – 8m2 per litre per coat. Applied in a 1 coat application, depending on the porosity and profile of the surface. Highly porous surfaces may require a second coat.

Surface preparation

• All surfaces must be clean, sound, dry, and free from oil, dirt, dust, fungi, and contaminants.
• Remove all loose and flaking paint completely.
• Cement plaster, concrete, or masonry must be dry before painting and should not exceed a moisture content of 10% or have aged for at least 4-6 weeks.

Application

• After correct surface preparation, stir Handyman`s Plaster Primer well using a flat paddle.
• Thinning is not recommended.
• Apply one coat evenly with a brush or roller, highly porous surfaces may require a second coat.
• Do not apply to external surfaces in wet weather or if rain is likely.
• Allow good ventilation in confined areas.
• Allow drying completely before overcoating with the finishing topcoat.
